The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the growth of
Dynatect business in a specific region.
Individual will be a technical sales professional with the ability
to develop strong relationships at existing accounts to drive
market share. Concurrently, individual will be responsible for
finding new opportunities in the region to sell and support all
Dynatect product lines to new customer targets. Selling to the OEM,
Distributors and End Users; position requires critical thinking to
see opportunities that are not obvious and yet avoid promoting
solutions which are not likely to succeed technically and/or not
likely to bring a win-win financial gain. The individual must
possess a very strong mechanical aptitude as it applies to
machinery, equipment and instrumentation in a variety of
industries. Comfortable around heavy equipment and spending
extended time on shop floors, observing and looking for ways to add
value in production, design and assembly.
Markets Served:Various protective solutions for equipment in
motion, improving human-machine safety and machine up-time,
resulting in highly engineered and often custom parts to solve
complex and specialty applications. Several products lines with
plants in the Midwest, and one local molding operation in Tracy,
CA, focused on molded polyurethane and rubber parts. Markets/
industries served includes Automation, Machine Tool, Oil& Gas,
Material Handling, Electric Vehicle Heavy Transit, Medical Device,
Sports Equipment, Military, Power Generation, Food& Beverage
Production, and Agriculture.
PRIMARY ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Territory Sales Manager's primary responsibilities are:
r Key account management.
r Providing regular feedback regarding the account base and
opportunities; persistent in moving projects forward.
r Securing information, design specification and other collateral
materials and information, setting up joint visits as requested and
opening doors at targeted new accounts.
r Understanding the competitive positions in the territory. Stay
informed of changes in the industry and territory, including
trends, new products, and new accounts.
r Forecasting product growth and budget generation within the
r Reading and troubleshooting 2D and 3D design drawings, and
brain-storming part designs of all kind.
r Coordinating strategic customer meetings with engineering,
procurement and production representatives.
r Identifying strategic growth opportunities within the territory
at new and existing customers.
r Expanding sales/business opportunities with new and existing
customers and in target markets, finding opportunities via a high
level of curiosity and empathy (Voice of Customer)
r Preparing and conducting professional sales presentations
utilizing confident, efficient and persuasive presentation
r Troubleshooting issues to a successful resolution for the
r Having a strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of spatial
r Excelling at time-management skills, task-management skills, and
juggling competing priorities.
r Understanding industry purchasing trends.
r Establishing and monitoring metrics to quantify the product
r Participate in occasional national and/or regional trade
r Perform other duties as assigned.
r The incumbent must be able to maintain complete confidentiality
of any information encountered.
r Self-directed and self-motivated. Sufficiently disciplined to
work efficiently and successfully from home-based office with
little direct supervision from management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
r r College/University Diploma or higher level education. (high
preference in an engineering discipline).
r r Minimum of 5 years in a related position within a related
r r General financial acumen and good business sense.
r r Four or more years of B2B selling experience in at several of
the markets referenced above.
r r Detail and process-oriented- analytical, highly organized, and
a creative and positive problem-solver.
r r Comfortable with math computations and formulas, including
development and manipulation of spreadsheets.
r r Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in
r rProficiency with email Shared Calendars and Contacts, Microsoft
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, demonstrating excellence in writing skills
(organization, persuasiveness, and accuracy).
r On average 4 days per week of travel, including the potential for
1 to 2 days overnight
r Periodic travel for sales meetings, trade shows and training
r Must hold a valid passport and be a US Citizen
r Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor
