$20.00 - $28.00 Hourly

A successful candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of prioritizing repairs while working independently of on-site supervision. A traveling maintenance technician's primary responsibility is to act in accordance with the company's Code of Ethics and Mission Statement, while safely and efficiently servicing Valley Pacific Petroleum Services' regional bulk facilities. This position actively works to maintain all sites and related equipment in compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.

Professional, courteous, and prompt communication with customers, fellow employees and regulators is critical to success in this position.

Additional responsibilities and relevant skills include, but are not limited to the following:

• Travel from the inland Southern reaches (Bakersfield) to the inland Northern reaches (Yreka), and Coastal locations within VPPS' operational footprint
• Proficient mechanical skills (automotive and related electrical is a plus) in plumbing, painting, general electrical and other basic construction
• General knowledge of fuel pumping systems and related flow a plus
• Able to lift up to 70lbs
• Able and willing to respond to emergencies, urgent or unusual situations
• Meticulously maintain all service-related tools and equipment
• Turn in paperwork and other necessary documentation in a timely, legible, and accurate manner
• Some welding and pipe fitting proficiency
