Who We Are
Peet's is building a new (green field) distribution center in the central valley. We are seeking a full-time Systems Engineer to lead the IT buildout and on-going support at the new facility. You will partner with the headquarters IT team in the network and security design and deployment. -You will be the on-site technical resource that supports and solves IT problems. - The ideal candidate will demonstrate high professionalism, a deep understanding of distribution center IT operations, strong communication, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask.
Peet's business consists of over 200 coffee bars across the US. - This position will be based at our distribution center in Tracy, CA (1150 E. Arbor Avenue suite 101 Tracy CA 95304) and will report to the Director of IT Infrastructure.
What You Will Do
Essential Functions:

• 
  
• Plan and manage the deployment and implementation of on-premise infrastructure, including mobile device management, networking equipment, printers and desktop workstations to support Peet's distribution center technology environments.
  
• Responsible for supporting Peet's fulfillment center systems with a focus on material handling equipment and warehouse control systems.
  
• Ensure the continuous operation of our existing network, hardware and software solutions across our distribution center.
  
• Anticipates future technology needs and establishes plans to ensure a consistently high-performing infrastructure.
  
• Performs data analytics to determine trends or root cause of issues.
  
• Serve as an expert on our operational performance and devise innovative strategies for improvement.
  
• Define, establish and report Key Performance Indicators to monitor operations services health.
  
• Conduct system outage and system impact analysis and implement corrections to prevent the reoccurrence of incidents.
  
• Support implementation of strategic initiatives.
  
• Communicate effectively with business partners, collaboratively problem solve, and seek continuous improvement across all aspects of help desk operations.
  
• Oversee maintenance of IT assets including hardware, network, software and equipment.
  
  Who You Are
  Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience
    
  • 5 Years experience in IT Infrastructure management and operation in distribution center environment.
    
  • Possess technical knowledge of OS (Windows, Linux), MS Office 365, Virtualization (VMWare), Cloud Services (Azure, AWS), Enterprise Networking infrastructure (Cisco, Meraki), Enterprise mobile device management (AirWatch, InTune).
    
  • A working knowledge of information security practices and concepts including access controls and identity management, risk management, industry best practices and standards (such as ISO, ITIL, COBIT), Security Information and event management (SIEM), and security operation.
    
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, e-commerce or retail environment preferred.
    
  • Ensure compliance with various regulatory environments (SOX, GxP, GDPR, Privacy, HIPAA, etc.)
    
  • Prior experience with building, managing, operating technology infrastructures supporting fulfillment and distribution centers.
    
  • Strong communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and bringing a service approach to stakeholders.
    
  • Passions for problem solving and ability to navigate ambiguous situations.
    
  • Strong ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally while delivering results.
    
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
    
  • Prior experience managing handhelds supporting distribution center operations.
    
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations ERP solution a plus.
    
  • Detailed technical knowledge and experience with Android OS, Microsoft Windows, and iOS family of client operating systems and associated hardware devices.
    
  • Solid and demonstrable experience with Active Directory, OKTA, Jira, Zendesk, MS Teams, Zoom, VPN solutions.
    
  • Experienced in researching and resolving technical problems of moderate to complex severity, typically escalated from on-site personnel.
    
  • ITIL methodology experience preferred.
    
    We require work onsite 5 days per week at our distribution center in Tracy, CA (1150 E. Arbor Avenue suite 101 Tracy CA 95304).

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
