Hourly Rate - $23.64 The-- -Forming Operator-- -operates the-- -bottle forming machine, tools and equipment and conducts defect analysis (gauging and visual) and necessary adjustments to the machine, feeder, stacker, etc. to improve and maintain top quality. The-- -Forming operator will: Change or assist in changing blanks, molds, finish mold changes and record reason.Assist in job changes, breakdown repairs and re-qualify all cavities following any major downtime.Adjusting temperatures of mold equipment to the feeder and perform necessary doping and swabbing of mold equipment.Gauge weight and selected physical dimensions on complete set-out and/or random sample and record using the computer terminal.May be assigned responsibility for additional equipment, up to and including, the point at which the bottles enter the lehr. The Forming Operator should have: Previous experiance in the glass industry-- -Experience using glass forming machine, bottle tongs, hand tools, swabs, conveyors, ware gauges, computer terminal, etc. In addition, materials that will be used are molten glass, molds, oil, dope, gloves, compressed air, etc.Ability to work a 12-hour, rotating schedule, with weekend and some holiday coverage.Ability-- -to work safely in a hot, dirty and loud environment.
