Overview

Job Title: Distribution Center Office Associate

Reports to: Floor Manager

Job Description: The Distribution Center Office Associate is responsible for performing general clerking duties such as data entry and paperwork filing in Distribution/Cross dock centers or float between centers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of clerical duties such as filing, record keeping, and copying
  • Inputs data via a computer
  • Maintains and replenishes office supplies
  • Conducts information retrieval and data entry via the computer
  • Compiles, organizes, and maintains records of business transactions
  • Maintains moderately complex indexes and files
  • Answers phones and take messages
  • Gathers information from accounts, applications, or spreadsheets and transfers into a standard format or database
  • Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling, sorting, and verifying information.
  • Performs other related clerical duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient at typing and basic computer operation
  • Intermediate English Language proficiency
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Clerical, word processing, and office skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Maintains an awareness of loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines as outlined in the Company Code of Conduct and Associate Policy manuals

Experience Required:

  • Experience in a clerical position and/or Administrative Support preferred
  • High School Diploma, GED, equivalent vocational training, or associate's degree
Physical and Visual Activities **

On a daily basis, must be able to constantly have visual acuity near and far, stand, operate computers/POS/office equipment, move around the facility and communicate. Ability to frequently handle paperwork and/or remain stationary. May occasionally lift, carry, reach, kneel, crawl, push/pull, climb, balance, bend, crouch, twist or have foot controls for operating equipment.

Physical Demands **

Movement of product, supplies and/or boxes to and from all levels of the store and stockroom. Ability to move and/or lift up to 65 lbs to a height of 3-4 feet; heavier product with team assist. Furniture: Ability to move up to 300 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions **

Hot/cold temperature changes, concrete floors, odors, dust and mechanical/electrical/chemical hazards possible

Ability to frequently operate computers/POS/office equipment, remain stationary or move around for long periods, handle paperwork, and/or push/pull. May occasionally carry files, reach, kneel, bend crouch/squat, and/or twist.
