What You Will Be Doing
Provides company-wide install, configuration and support to the
organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN),
and Internet system or a segment of a network system. Maintains
network hardware and software. Monitors network to ensure network
availability to all system users and performs necessary maintenance
to support network availability. Sets-up, deploys, manages and
troubleshoots Mac/Windows products. Plan, coordinate, and implement
network security measures. Performs the following functions within
the IT Department:
Systems Administrator Duties:
-Maintain system efficiency.
-Installs hardware and peripherals such as monitors, keyboards,
printers, and disk drives.
-Trains users to use new or modified equipment.
-Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet
-Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN
infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
-Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly
-Make recommendations for future upgrades and maintain network and
-Troubleshoot problems reported by users.
-Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
-Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing
environments, including computer hardware, systems software,
applications software, and all configurations.
-Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software
and operating system software.
-Confer with network users about how to solve existing system
-Coordinate with vendors and with company personnel in order to

-Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
-Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of
-Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as
drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
-Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways.
-Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers,
switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment,
security updates and patches.
-Administers Mobile Device Management portal implementing polices
and access controls.
-Administers controls on vehicle fleet in relation to needs of
-Supervises other network support team members.
Desktop Support Duties:
-Provide high quality technology support and customer service to
-Provide prompt and detailed updates to tickets documenting
progress and work completed
-Prioritize and effectively manage ticket queue to meet SLA's
-Troubleshoot staff desktop, laptops and related hardware and
-Upgrade and reimage existing systems and transition users to new

-Build and maintain positive relationships and customer service
experiences with staff
Windows Administrator Duties:
-Assist in the design, deployment and maintenance of all Windows
-Document all processes, procedures and operations for both
internal needs and end users when required
-Participate in scheduled off-hours downtime to perform upgrades,
-Working knowledge of VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V Technologies
-Working knowledge of standard infrastructure tools (DHCP, DNS,
NTP, SYSLOG, SSH, SFTP, GPO, etc.)
-Windows Active Directory experience (GPO, OU, Security Groups)
-Microsoft software update services (WSUS) or System Center Update
-Working knowledge of networking concepts, and troubleshooting
skills to identify issues with firewalls, VLANs routing, or basic
IP settings (DNS, gateway, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills, log analysis
-Demonstrated solid understanding of Windows internals, performance
tuning and general systems trouble shooting skills
-Experience with SCCM 2012 R2
What You Need for this Position
-MCSE and CCNA Certifications Required
-5+ years' experience with network and server management supporting
150+ node environments
-Knowledge of computer hardware systems and programs.
-Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve system deficiencies,
develops and recommends corrective action.
-Ability to study software capabilities and operations, including
input and output requirements, file systems, memory management, and
-Ability to develop training manuals for various end users
-Ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions.
-Ability to recommend hardware systems and software packages in
order to promote cost efficiency.
-Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve telephone/voice mail
-The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules
-Performs other related duties as assigned.
