Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - ER /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in 19-bed emergency department seeing approximately 170 patients per day /n• 1:4 patient ratio (unless caring for ICU or step-down patients) /n• Scheduled 4 weeks at a time on shift rotation with every other weekend required /n• Minimum 2 years ER experience required /n• First-time travelers accepted in this department /n• Required certifications: CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association), TNCC, NIHSS /n• Professional scrubs of any color required (no other facility logos permitted) /n• Use Meditech charting system with WOWs provided for each RN /n• Medication administration through Pyxis system /n• IV pumps: Solaris equipment /n• Orientation offered Mondays only including HR paperwork, badge issuance, respiratory fit testing, nursing education testing, and medication testing /n• Clinical preceptor provided for unit orientation based on skill set /n• Charge RN available without patient assignment /n• Break nurses available without patient assignments /n• Triage available 24/7 /n• See variety of patients from pediatric to vulnerable populations /n/n Facility: /n This 172-bed Level II Trauma Center serves as the only trauma facility in Monterey County and many surrounding communities.
