Locum Tenens Psychiatrist Needed ASAP - Ongoing (Near Milpitas,

dedicated physician to join our team and provide coverage for a
specific need within our behavioral health department. This locum
tenens position offers a combination of scheduled clinical hours
and call coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact on the

Diverse Clinical Experience: Treat a variety of adult inpatients
with mental health conditions, expanding your expertise and

with Call: Enjoy a predictable schedule with dedicated clinic hours
for patient evaluations and consultations, complemented by call
coverage to ensure continuity of care. Supportive Team Environment:
Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses, therapists, social
workers, and other healthcare professionals focused on providing
comprehensive and compassionate mental health care. Modern
Electronic Medical Records: Utilize the Cerner electronic medical
records system to ensure efficient documentation and communication.
Temporary Privileges Available: While hospital privileges are
required, temporary privileges can be facilitated to expedite your
start date. What You'll Do: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric
evaluations for adult inpatients admitted to the behavioral health
unit. Formulate individualized treatment plans, incorporating
medication management, psychotherapy recommendations, and
collaboration with other mental health professionals. Provide
ongoing monitoring and management of patient care, adjusting
treatment plans as needed. Offer crisis intervention and support
for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes. Document
all patient interactions and treatment decisions thoroughly and
efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient
care plans and ensure coordinated treatment approaches. Stay
up-to-date with the latest advancements in psychiatry and
participate in ongoing professional development opportunities (time
permitting). Who You Are: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a
current and active license to practice medicine in California
(only). Board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of
Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) (required). Current BLS
certification (required). A commitment to providing compassionate,
patient-centered care to adults experiencing mental health
challenges. Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork
skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. The
ability to manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high
