Job Description Responsibilities - Advocate for the best and most efficient care for hospital patients. - Remove barriers to care and facilitate communication between stakeholders. - Collaborate with attending physicians to optimize patient care pathways. - Support and enhance the clinical credibility of the Care Coordination Department's utilization and compliance activities. - Participate in an annual performance evaluation using hospital-adopted metrics. - Promote systems-based practice, regulatory compliance, and quality considerations. - Interact with multidisciplinary groups to improve the quality of patient care. - Option for moonlighting or limited clinical practice - Open to any specialty Qualifications - Physician License (or the ability to obtain) in the State of California (Required). - 5 years of experience practicing medicine in a recognized hospital or office environment (Required). - 2 years of work experience as a Physician Advisor (Preferred). - Membership in the American College of Physician Advisors (Preferred). - Certification in Health Care Quality Management (HCQM) (Required). - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical knowledge skills. - Ability to interact with physicians in a collaborative and positive manner. - Highly organized and able to work effectively with multidisciplinary groups. - Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
