  • Experience sourcing and procurement for camera or camera components.
  • Understanding of cost performing technologies, processes and products to guide and influence product development and decisions. Ability to create or optimize cost models for evaluating modules, components, new processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time as needed.About the jobAs Global Supply Manager, Camera, you are responsible for interfacing with internal Engineering and Product teams as well as our external suppliers to develop finished modules and components. You will design, develop cost, and deliver camera modules and components at a consumer electronic scale. You will make sure Google has the suppliers and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. You will use your industry knowledge and supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global and growing infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have an impact on Google's bottom line.You will serve as the primary contact for internal teams and external partners/suppliers for sourcing and procurement. You will build consensus with both internal and external stakeholders and will be the main agreement for negotiations and supplier management. Additionally, you will lead and support the development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide Google's Devices and Services Product Area with optimal pricing, flexibility, quality, and supply assurance. You will be working with Product Management, Hardware (HW) and Software (SW) Engineering, Industrial Design, Quality Engineering and Operations Teams, you will be the commercial owner with a focus on agreement and pricing, and on maintaining long-term supplier relationships.Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.     • Develop and execute strategies for Consumer Hardware, identify and implement new opportunities for Cost Savings and Cost Avoidance including optimizing the supply base for Google's Consumer Hardware needs.
    • Develop understanding of cost engagedtechnologies, processes, and products to guide and influence product development decisions. Create cost models for new modules, components, and processes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and risks related to product design and business plans.
    • Develop global sourcing strategies with defined plans for cost savings, risk assessment and mitigation, and supply planning agreements.
    • Address all areas of global sourcing and supply chain management including commodity business plans, supplier performance management, global market, building up a supply base that's the right fit for Google, pricing analysis, contract agreements and procurement support.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
