Primary Location US-CA-TracyJOB SUMMARY:Responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of equipment while ensuring proper safe working conditions in company facilities.CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Works under general supervisionSets up, adjusts, performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains assigned equipment with responsibility for production and qualityPerforms scheduled maintenanceMakes preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports to Shift Supervisor, and takes appropriate actionOil and grease equipmentAnalyzes mechanical and operational problems, makes necessary corrections and runs adjustments to maintain maximum production and qualityChanges equipment to new sizes, verifies after change overTests equipment to verify correct operation and production of quality productsExamines defects and analyzes spoilage causes.Medline Industries, LP, and its subsidiaries, offer a competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.The anticipated salary range for this position is $25.50 - $35.75 per hour. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. For roles where employees work less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Service Corp.EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent.At least 1 year of experience with forklift, conveyor or general equipment repair and maintenance.AdditionalFundamental understanding of machinery/equipmentBasic level skill in Microsoft ExcelWilling to travel at least/up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).Physical activities necessary to perform one or more essential functions of the position.Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods dailyFrequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbsMust be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a weekAbility to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work from a lying down position, work with your hands above your head.Willing to operate material handling equipment (i.e. fork truck).Write documents and reports using writing instruments and computersRead information, often in small print (drawings)Follow appropriate safety procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc. and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazardsAbility to work overtime and must be available for on-call requests as needed
