Summary : The ideal candidate is the finance leader at the Tracy facility, the financial partner to the VP, West Coast Operations, and the Tracy site leadership team. In addition, the position will work in close collaboration with the Corporate Accounting Team in Philadelphia, PA. Primary Responsibilities: Leader and first point of contact for all financial and accounting issues at the Tracy Facility. Accountable for all financial reporting for the Tracy facility including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Cost Center/Departmental Spending. Accountable for proper inventory valuation (in accordance with GAAP, including slow moving/excess, obsolete and lower of cost or market reserves) Responsible for ensuring that monthly Cost of Goods Sold (Material, Labor and Manufacturing Overheads) are properly stated. Primary responsibility for internal financial controls regarding inventory (existence, proper valuation) In conjunction with the Tracy Operations team, develop and analyze manufacturing variance reporting that on-time, in-full delivery, production efficiency and margin expansion Lead the financial aspects of physical inventory counts (full physical and cycle counts) and provide coordination between the operations team and external auditors. Ensure all the Tracy trial balance accounts (assets and liabilities) are properly stated and reconciled monthly. Provide decision support and analysis to the Tracy Operations Team (operational improvement, margin expansion, cost out, capex and working capital reduction) Participate on the Tracy Site SAP implementation team and, specifically, lead the financial aspects of the implementation. Provide support to the VP, West Coast Operations and the Tracy site leadership in the development of annual budget and routine forecasting processes. Maintain effective and frequent communication between the Tracy Facility and the Corporate Accounting team (Phila, PA). Other activities as assigned by the US Controller and VP, West Coast Operations Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. 5-7 years--- experience. Cost and general accounting experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (or in combination with public accounting experience) Experience with general ledger, cost accounting (BOMs & routings), manufacturing/shop floor modules (SOP, POP, and MOP processes/functionality) in an ERP system. Experience with SAP is required. Hands-on experience preparing financial reports, including variance analyses Adaptability while working in a fast changing and evolving organization Highly effective communication skills and relationship building High level of proficiency with Excel and other MS Office products Highest level of accuracy and integrity Strong organization and time management
